About Us

Sandy Plains Info

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20

Sandy Plains meets sundays

Worship 10:30-11:30 am.  You can expect messages that challenge us to live for Jesus in real life, that are Bible-based, and worship that you can connect to easily.  This is a church where you can build solid friendships in the faith.  Sunday morning worship meets in the Family Life Center, the largest building at Sandy Plains, as we outgrew the older chapel and needed more space.

Bible Study Groups 9:30-10:25 am.  These groups apply the Bible to issues we face at situations and ages we're in presently in life.  There's a group that is a good fit for you, just visit us any Sunday, and a greeter will be able to help you check out a group any week.

Evening Worship 6-6:55 pm.  The evening worship service is more of a training, equipping type service for knowing how to love others, how to reach others, and answer tougher questions.  You're welcome to visit as our guest.  This meets in the older chapel looking building.

 worship service questions

What style is the service?  We are a solid mix of contemporary and hymns.  In recent years, these have a lot in common due to the work of some talented Christian artists.  Our main goal is honor God with the worship music.

Where are kids able to go?  There is a very well run and gospel-centered kids ministry.  Kids can stay in the service or go to the kids ministry, whichever you prefer.  Here is info on the Children's Ministry - it is in the Education Building, which is in the middle of campus.  This building is patrolled by our security team constantly, and every worker is routinely background checked.  Teachers are also veterans at their roles.  On the building, we have Brushed Nickel signs, indicating the entrances for ages: there is "The Meadows" area which is Nursery-5yr old ministry.  It meets at 9:30 am and 10:30 am.  Then, 1st grade to High School is labeled, "The Highlands."  They meet at 9:30 am, also in the Education Building.  They meet with regular worship for the whole church as older kids at 10:30 am.

What are Prayer opportunities?  We believe strongly in the power of God's people praying.  So we meet for Wednesday Prayer & Worship service at 7 pm.

What about being trained, equipped in my faith?  So we have many ways to do this.  There are Sunday morning Bible classes, a powerful way to grow.  Also another worth mentioning initially, there is a Sunday evening worship service at 6 pm in the older chapel looking building.  It is a training time as well, with messages geared to how to love others, ways to serve in detail, and so forth.  There is for the younger ones Sun pm a childcare option available, inside the Education Building next to those.

We look forward to seeing you Sunday morning to start off, at 10:30 am in the Family Life Center at Sandy Plains!
